Great Story!

I just had to share this story, it is so amazing!
So a few weeks ago my 15yr old son Jason got this weird rash on his leg. At first I thought it was an allergic reaction to something, and told him it would probably go away in a few days. It didn't though it got worse and started spreading. It also starting hurting, itching and burning really bad. I tried to find out what kind of rash it was by comparing it to pictures on the internet. But I couldn't find anything like it. I decided I had better take him to the doctor to find out what it was, so at least I would know what we were dealing with. The doctors' first reaction was " I have no idea what that is?" Great I thought, not even the doctor knows what this is. The doctor then when and got his dermatology book, and after looking through it, said Ok I know what it is now. He's got the Shingles. Now I thought only old people got the shingles, but then I remembered that Jason got the Shingles once before when he was 3 or 4 years old. The doctor said it causes by the same virus, which is the herpes vires, that causes chicken pox. This is kind of like the second stage, but not as contagious, but is more painful. The doctor proceeded to write a prescription for an anti-viral drug called Valtrex. He prescribed a weeks worth of pills, plus a refill and said sometimes it takes up to a month to get rid of it. So I took my prescription to the pharmacy and imagine my surprise, when the pharmacy lady told me it would cost me $140, and that was the generic price. I have one of those insurance plans with the high deductible and if you haven't met it yet they don't cover anything. Well there was no way I could afford to pay that much so I left without it. When I got home I called my friend (upline) and we looked up what Essential oils were anti viral and could help get rid of the shingles. We made up a roller bottle with Melaleuca, thyme, helichrysum and a little fractionated coconut oil. We also made put some deep blue and coconut oil in another bottle. We also applied On Guard directly to the rash, which actually kind of numbed it. My son said the deep blue dulled the pain enough he could deal with it. I also had my husband and a friend of ours give him a priesthood blessing. We also prayed a lot that he would be healed. After three days of applying these oils several times. The rash started to scab over and the skin was starting to flake off and regenerate around the rash as it was healing. Its now been over a week and the rash is barely visible. WOW! I couldn't believe it! I think my son was really surprised too! he really didn't think it would work. Now I don't know exactly how much oil we used, but my best guess is it only cost us about $10 if that even. That is a huge savings, especially if I would of had to refill his prescription. I am truly grateful to have these Essential Oils in my life, they are truly a gift from God.

25 Days to the finish line!!

Well I can't believe it, I only have 25 days left till the end of the Biggest Loser contest!
In order to hit my goal I need to loose 8 more pounds before then. I can TOTALLY do that! I can't believe I am so close!! I haven't had my measurements done again yet. I think I will wait till the end of the contest, and see where I'm at! I finally found a food and exercise program that works for me. Here's what I've been doing the last month or so.
For breakfast I have a Trimshake, my favorite is still the vanilla with a little Wild Orange added to it, it tastes like a creamsicle. Yum! That keeps me from being hungry for about three hours. For lunch I usually have a sandwich, with some fruit. Sometimes soup or and egg and cheese omelet. I fill up with water, if I still feel hungry. For dinner, I usually just eat what I make for my family, I just have a smaller serving. I still cheat a little and have some kind of treat everyday, but just something little, that will get rid of the sugar cravings. I have also found that putting 5 drops or so of Slim & Sassy in my mouth and washing it down with water, helps with the cravings too, but hey I can't live without chocolate, life is too short! I have also been exercising about 30-min to an hour every day except Sunday. I do weights or strength training two days of the week with my personal trainer and the other days are cardio. I've recently fallen in love with Zumba, even though I'm extremely uncoordinated, It is so much fun! It doesn't even feel like your exercising! Depending on how fast you go and how much you push yourself, you can burn 600-1000 calories in 1 hour of Zumba. I've been going twice a week. I also found an awesome Turbo Kick class, that totally kicks my butt! I love it! I'm one of those people that doesn't really like to exercise by myself so I am very fortunate to have these neighbors, with basement dance studios who offer these classes. I also have actually started to enjoy running/jogging when the weather is warm, there is just something about the wind blowing past you and the sound of 80's music blasting in my ears that is just so energizing. Now if the weather would stop being so "Bi-Polar" as my daughter calls it. I could get outside and run a lot more! Well wish me luck and I will post my results and pictures at the end of the month!

1 Month Update

Just a little update on my progress. I have had total weight loss of 5lbs for this month! I am so excited! I have absolutely loved the TrimShake, I got the Vanilla flavor so I can add oils to it. Like I tried peppermint, which made it really refreshing and then I tried Wild Orange in it and that is my Favorite! It tastes like a creamsicle, YUM! I am going to try the Chocolate one for March. I also love the Slim & Sassy it tastes really minty so it gives you great breath and also takes away some of sugar cravings. I haven't been so good at using the Lifelong Wellness pack & the Terrazyme, mostly because I have a hard time swallowing pills, but I am trying to get over that. Next month I am going to try the Zendocrine oil which helps break down cellulite and cleanses your colon & kidneys.
I have continued to go to my personal trainer twice a week and she kicks my butt every time! She pushes my way harder than I would ever push myself. I know I have lost some inches around my waist, people are starting to notice and it's awesome and so motivating! I want to lose at least 8lbs in March, so I am going to exercise more and cut back even more on the white stuff! Here is a picture of me with my hubby at a Valentine's Dance.

1st Weeks Progress

Ok, I have completed my first week of this Biggest Loser Contest. I am excited to announce that I have lost 3lbs this week! Woo Hoo! I think it has really helped to turn enter in all the food I eat each day on loseit.com it totally makes a difference to actually "see " you are eating. I've also been going to my personal trainer for 30 minutes twice a week, and she totally kicks my butt everytime! I also found an awesome kickboxing class on Friday mornings and I get a really good workout there also. The exercising part isn't as hard for me as the eating part though. I just love sugar and I am totally addicted to it. I have found that the Slim & Sassy oil helps curb those sugar cravings about 95% of the time. I still crave it, just not as often. I find that if I eat one piece of chocolate and savor and let it melt slowly in my mouth it really satisfies that craving and only like 3 calories.
I was able to start using the TrimShake this week and I LOVE it. It tastes really good and it keeps me from being hungry for about 3hrs. Since Monday I've been drinking one for breakfast and one for lunch. I have two healthy snacks a day and then about a 4-500 calorie dinner. The shakes really take the guesswork out of what I'm eating each day and makes it a lot easier to keep track of the calories.
I am looking forward to this next week to see what happens. I will keep updating my progress on here for all my "followers".
